As we journey into the book of John 8:37 – 47, we see Jesus having a dispute with the Pharisees and the Jews over who is his father. If we look at John 8:39, The Jews claimed they are descendants of Abraham. But Jesus says, “If you were Abraham’s children, then you would do what Abraham did. As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. You are doing the works of your own father.”
